16th Annual USASOC International Sniper Competition Awards Banquet Event Overview:
Special Forces Association, Chapter 62 is proud to help sponsor the USASOC 16th annual International Special Operations Sniper Competition. A competition designed by the instructors of the US Army JFKSWCS Sniper School. This year the best Special Operations Sniper teams from around the world converged on Fort Bragg to compete in a physically demanding, combat oriented, sniper competition.
Teams represented all Army Special Forces Groups, Rangers, Special Mission Units, Navy SEALS, Marine Special Operations and Allied SOF Units. The United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and Schools 2nd Special Warfare Training Group (A) hosted this competition with the support of the Special Forces Association, Chapter 62.
Awards Banquet
The culminating Awards Banquet was held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Village Pine Venue in Carthage, North Carolina. This prestigious gathering brought together participants, sponsors, and distinguished guests to celebrate the outstanding marksmanship and teamwork of the competing sniper teams.

The evening began with a warm welcome and keynote address delivered by Lieutenant General (Ret.) John K. Love, United States Marine Corps. His remarks underscored the vital role of snipers in modern warfare and the values of precision, professionalism, and perseverance.
Competition Overview
Now in its 16th year, this competition tested 21 elite sniper teams during a grueling five-day, 23-stage course, including three night-fire events. Events were designed to simulate the stress and complexity of real-world ground combat, challenging each team’s marksmanship, decision-making, and coordination under pressure. The 21 sniper teams represented six countries, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands. U.S. teams included the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 19th and 20th Special Forces Groups, as well as the 75th Ranger Regiment. Additionally, teams from the U.S. Marine Forces Special Operations Command and Naval Special Warfare Command, United States Army Special Operations Command and the U.S. Coast Guard completed the roster of competitors.

All participants received a gift bag generously filled with items donated by our sponsors. The top-performing teams also had the opportunity to select from a variety of prizes at the awards table.
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal making for a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

The banquet concluded with heartfelt thanks to all participants, sponsors, and organizers who made the event a resounding success.
As the evening came to a close, excitement was already building for next year’s competition.
